I'm starting over. This used to be a blogspace for me to share personal stories related to my business, and it may be that again someday. But as I experience a huge shift in my existence, in my priorities, in my passion and purpose, I am transforming this blog into a place for me to share my journey. The ups and downs.
For now I'm keeping this blog and it's name and working into it, mostly because I was spending too much time trying to figure out a new name for my blog! So here's my reintroduction:
One Friday in July 2008, after about 12 years of talking and planning and dreaming of leaving America and living in Israel, I decided it was time to take the plunge. We made most of the necessary arrangements (for instance, we still having sold our house in NJ! And we decided to start out in an absorption center instead of looking for a more permanent living arrangement) and made the move!
I was 10 weeks pregnant when we arrived in Israel. We spent 5 months in a two room apartment, and then moved to the beautiful Golan Heights were we are renting a lovely home in the city of Katzerin. More about my move and my birth are in the previous post... so what's changed for me since my first post here?
Mothering 3 small children is a completely different universe than one or 2 was. And I am doing it in a new country, while mastering a new language, and while my (amazing) husband works a 12 hour shift at the local winery. It happens to be one of the largest wineries in the country and it produces some excellent wines - which we can't afford to buy, or a car for that matter.
For the past three months I've been home with my newborn, Kooshkoosh, and my 2 year old, the Dancing Queen. My oldest, SuperSkimpy, is in kindergarten
And this post in now over b/c Dancing Queen, in all her naked glory, just climbed into the Pack n'Play with Kooshkoosh! Gotto go save a baby! More later!
